Fast mode in TNT Plus
In fast mode, select presets designed for common broadcast scenarios.
Fast mode offers three preset configurations for common broadcast needs:
- Small file (AAC 256kbps) - Compressed format balancing quality and file size
- Most compatible (MP3 160kbps) - Universal playback support
- Production (PCM 48kHz/24bit) - Uncompressed broadcast-quality audio Select your output format from these three options.
Normalization
Enable the ‘Normalize’ checkbox to apply EBU R128 loudness normalization. Processed files will meet -23 LUFS standard with -1 dBTP limiting for consistent playback levels.
Workflow
Process files in four steps:
- Select files or folder
- Choose output destination
- Pick preset format
- Click Process Files process individually in the background. Completed files appear in your output folder as they finish.
Choosing an Audio Format
Audio formats balance three factors: fidelity, compatibility, and file size. Choose two.
High fidelity with broad compatibility produces large files (WAV, FLAC). Small files with good compatibility reduce fidelity (MP3, AAC). High fidelity in small files limits compatibility (Opus, modern codecs).
Raw or lossless formats preserve quality but require more storage. Lossy compression reduces file size and plays on all devices, but discards audio data. Modern codecs achieve high quality at small file sizes, but some devices don’t support them.
Fast mode encoders are labeled by purpose: Small file, Most compatible, and Production. Technical specifications appear in parentheses.
About Normalization
Normalization ensures audio meets the EBU loudness standard.
Enable normalization to match your audio’s loudness to all other channel content. Use this at all export stages for easier post-processing or to meet broadcast standards on final delivery.
