Notice about a specific license that applies to some parts of The Source
This license applies only to the parts of the code that are not FFmpeg, FFprobe or any other derivatives of that work. Aforementioned work are licensed, in the configuration shipped with this program, with this license. The user may get the aforementioned Source here, or they may compile the aforementioned Source by using this tool. The version used in TNT is n7.1.2, as of October 1st, 2025.
When we use emphasized words that are inside “quotes”, we refer to what meaning was given to them the first time this word was used in “this format”.
When we refer to “we”, “us” or “our”, or similar, we mean Fremen, which is a part of Collins Group.
From this section onwards, the contents in question are not licensed by any aforementioned licenses. Unless otherwise mentioned, the “License” in question is Proprietary Source-Available License, whose most up-to-date version shall be viewed here.
Legal Compliance
Obligation of Compliance
Licensee is solely responsible for ensuring that its use of the Licensed Material complies with all local, national, and international laws, treaties, and regulations, including, without limitation, those pertaining to privacy, data transmission, national security, journalism, and communication restrictions in the jurisdiction of use. The Licensor expressly disclaims all liability for any failure of the Licensee to comply with this section.
Prohibited Use
The Licensed Material SHALL NOT be used to circumvent or bypass any lawful technical or legal restrictions, prohibitions, or orders imposed by a legitimate government or regulatory body in the territory of operation. Use in contravention of any lawful order or restriction is strictly prohibited and constitutes an immediate termination of this License.
Non-Exhaustive Examples of Prohibited Use
The following scenarios are non-exclusive examples of use that SHALL violate the terms of this License:
- Using the Licensed Material to bypass censorship or surveillance systems when such systems are mandated by local law.
- Using the Licensed Material to communicate or transmit information when contact with the outside world has been lawfully restricted or denied by governmental or security authorities.
- Using the Licensed Material in any way that is intended to deceive, conceal, or mislead security forces, legal authorities, or governmental representatives who are acting under lawful orders.

Restrictions:
- No use in commercial settings, for commercial broadcasting, contact Fremen
- No modification of the source code

Academic, non-commercial and non-profit use
The Licensee is hereby granted permission to reproduce and modify the Licensed Material only if all of the following conditions are met. This permission is not required for the Licensee’s internal, non-commercial use of the Licensed Material in its unmodified form.
1. Purpose Restriction
The use must be solely for academic, non-profit, and non-commercial purposes.
2. Mandatory Prior Notice
The Licensee SHALL notify the Licensor of the intended use before commencing any use of the source code. This notification must include, at a minimum:
- The name of the primary user
- The name of the institution or affiliation.
- A brief description of the intended use.
3. Eligible Licensee Status
The Licensee MUST be one of the following entities or persons:
- A Recognized Academic Institution: Including, but not limited to, universities, colleges, and accredited K-12 educational bodies.
- A Registered Non-Profit Organization: Excluding those organizations that generate substantial revenue from competitive commercial activities.
- An Independent Academic Researcher: Defined as a person engaging in non-funded, non-commercial, and non-consulting research activities primarily for the purpose of personal or public knowledge advancement, and who is not representing or receiving compensation from a commercial or for-profit research entity.
Termination of License
1. Automatic Termination for Prohibited Use
This License SHALL terminate immediately and automatically without any notice if the Licensee breaches the terms set forth in the Prohibited Use section of this document.
2. Termination for Breach of Academic/Non-Commercial Terms
If the Licensee fails to comply with any of the conditions set forth in the Academic, non-commercial and non-profit use section (including, but not limited to, failure to provide the Mandatory Prior Notice before commencing reproduction or modification), this License and all associated permissions SHALL terminate immediately and automatically.
3. Effect of Termination
Upon termination of this License for any reason, the Licensee MUST immediately cease all use of the Licensed Material, and SHALL destroy all copies (including modified versions and derivative works) of the source code and binaries in their possession, custody, or control.
